Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains how we handle the personal data you provide through the forms on taurauto.lt, or when you call or message us.

What data we process

• Transport and assistance request: full name, phone number, pick-up and drop-off location, preferred date and time, vehicle type, make, model and condition, number of vehicles, comments, email (if you provide it) and photos (if you add them).
• Car buying request: make, model, year, condition, location, asking price, phone number, comments and photos (if you add them).
• Technical data: time of submission and selected website language. To prevent abuse, we briefly keep an encrypted (hashed) value of your IP address, which is deleted automatically within 1 hour.

Purposes and legal basis

We use your data only to reply to your request, agree the price and time, and provide the service. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract and performing the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and our legitimate interest in preventing spam (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Request data is not used for marketing or newsletters, and no automated decision-making or profiling takes place.

Who receives the data

Form data and photos are sent by email to info@taurauto.lt. Website and email services are provided by Hostinger (data processor), and the website server is located in Lithuania. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing. Data may be disclosed to public authorities where required by law.

If you contact us via WhatsApp, the conversation is also processed by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy terms.

How long we keep data

• Request data (without photos) is kept in the website’s admin system for no longer than 12 months.
• Photos are not stored on the website server – they are only attached to the email and deleted from the server immediately.
• Request emails are kept as long as needed to handle the request or service, and no longer than 12 months unless the law requires longer storage (e.g. accounting documents).

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Contact us at info@taurauto.lt – we will reply within 1 month.

If you believe your data is being handled improperly, you can lodge a complaint with the State Data Protection Inspectorate of Lithuania (vdai.lrv.lt).
